趙雨水

趙雨水（闽南语：[lower-alpha 1]；1890年6月22日—1974年8月20日），筆名蔡筆墨（[lower-alpha 2]），是一名印度尼西亞荷屬時期的閩南裔華人作家與記者。

生平

1890年6月22日出生於巴達維亞[1]。父親是福建移民，母親是土生華人。趙雨水在荷蘭當局為華人開設的學校就讀，學習荷蘭語並稍微接觸過其他語言[2]。1905年，他嘗試進入新聞業，短暫在《Sinar Betawi》擔任過記者。不久後，他跳槽至專攻華人市場的《Perniagaan》。他待在出版業長達15年，最終成為一名編輯，他在這段期間與同事的女兒結婚[2]。1911年開始創作小說，並於該年出版其首部小說《薛寶玉》。在接續的50年間，在報紙與雜等媒體大量創作，並擔任部分媒體的編輯。他也是一名傳記作家，寫過李金福等人的傳記。
