诺特模

以下固定一个环 ${\displaystyle A}$。设 ${\displaystyle M}$ 为左 ${\displaystyle A}$-模，当 ${\displaystyle M}$ 满足下列等价条件时，称 ${\displaystyle M}$ 为诺特模：

• 所有 ${\displaystyle M}$ 的子模都是有限生成的。
• 对所有由 ${\displaystyle M}$ 的子模构成的升链 ${\displaystyle M_{1}\subset M_{2}\subset \cdots }$，存在 ${\displaystyle N\in \mathbb {N} }$ 使得 ${\displaystyle i\geq \mathbb {N} \Rightarrow M_{i}=M_{i+1}}$；换言之，此升链将会固定。

若将上述定义中的左模换成右模，可得到右诺特模的定义。

• 设 ${\displaystyle M}$ 为诺特模，则它的所有子模与商模都是诺特模。
• 设 ${\displaystyle N\subset M}$，${\displaystyle N}$ 与 ${\displaystyle M/N}$ 都是诺特模，则 ${\displaystyle M}$ 亦然。
• 诺特环上的有限生成模都是诺特模，借此可以构造大量诺特模的例子。
• 诺特模的局部化仍是诺特模。
