木鼻白蚁科
木鼻白蚁科（Stylotermitidae）亲缘关系介于木白蚁科和鼻白蚁科之间，为过渡类群。旧时曾被归于鼻白蚁科之下[1][2]。本科之下共包含三个属分别为原木鼻白蚁属 (Prostylotermes )、似木鼻白蚁属 (Parastylotermes )、及木鼻白蚁属 (Stylotermes )，其中木鼻白蚁属是唯一现存的属，另外两属已灭绝[3]。

木鼻白蚁科包含三个属：

- †似木鼻白蚁属 Parastylotermes Snyder & Emerson, 1949
- †原木鼻白蚁属 Prostylotermes Engel & Grimaldi, 2011
物种概述
木鼻白蚁属共有46种，其中一种仅记录无正式描述[1][3]，分布于东亚及东南亚地区，包含孟加拉、印度、中国、马来西亚、台湾等地。
除分子生物学证据显示其亲缘关系介于木白蚁科与鼻白蚁科外，其形态特征也介于两者之间，木鼻白蚁属的兵蚁形态接近木白蚁科，但其拥有鼻白蚁科有，而木白蚁科没有的特征：窗点 (fontanelle)[1]。
