尾宿五

尾宿五 （天蝎座θ，θ Sco, θ Scorpii）是在黄道南端天蝎座内的恒星，它在西方的固有名称是源于Sumer的Sargas[10]。在中国，它属于尾宿的星官 尾的第五颗星，故称之为尾宿五。它的视星等是 +1.87[2]，所以列名在最亮的恒星表中，裸眼就很容易看见。它的距离够近，所以可以利用视差的技术来测量，估计大约是300光年（90秒差距）[1]。

这是一颗在演化的亮巨星，光谱类型为F0 II[3]，质量为太阳的5.7倍，半径已经膨胀到太阳的26倍[6]，发光能力为太阳的1,834倍[5]，来自外壳的有效温度是7,268K[5]，使它发出黄白色的光，是颗F型恒星。这颗恒星的自转非常快速，因此外观的形状是一个椭球体，赤道半径比极半径长19%[8]。

它有一颗5.36等的伴星，角距离为6.470 秒[11]。
