Hi-MD

Hi-MD是索尼在2004年1月时新宣布的媒体存储格式，作为MiniDisc的后续格式，并在同年稍后正式公开发布[1]。新开发的Hi-MD能够在与MiniDisc相同大小的情况下，拥有1GB的大容量。不过后来Hi-MD被视为过时的格式，2011年时该格式最后的读写设备停产。Hi-MD光盘在2012年9月回收已经卖出的光盘，不过更为常见的MiniDisc截至2015年10月为止仍然被使用着[2]。
