肺蝎属

肺蝎（学名：Pulmonoscorpius，字面意思为「会呼吸的蝎子」），又称为氧蝎、普莫诺蝎，是一属已绝种的巨型蝎子[1]，生活于石炭纪的维宪阶至谢尔普霍夫期，约 336.0 – 326.4 百万年前[2]。

肺蝎的化石发现于苏格兰西洛锡安东柯克顿采石场的东柯克顿石灰岩组，地层年代为石炭纪[3]。

描述与分类学
幼年肺蝎腹测身体的前段至中段（Cp：基节内叶（coxapophysis）、Go：生殖靥（genital operculum）、L1-4：腿部基节（leg coxae）、Ml：第1腹板中央的叶状突起（median lobation of 1st ventral plate）、Pt：梳状板（pectine）、Ptp：栉状器板（pectinal plate）、Sp：基节内叶的钩状突起（spur of coxapophysis）、St：胸板（sternum）、Vp：腹板（ventral plate））

普莫诺蝎的食物仍然未知，但科学家推测其以其他节肢动物为主食，或者是小型的四足动物。[4]

目前完整样本的体长均介于13—280 mm（0.51—11.02英寸），然而有一个不完整的化石碎片，包含了15-18μm厚的表皮层外侧，估计该个体全身体长可达700 mm（28英寸）[2]。

大众文化

在BBC的《史前公园》的第5集中，主角奈吉尔·马文从石炭纪带回了普莫诺蝎、巨脉蜻蜓与节胸属。

在沙盒动作冒险游戏《方舟：生存进化》中，玩家可以捕捉并骑乘普莫诺蝎，不过游戏中的普莫诺蝎为体型更为巨大的虚构物种，更像是雷蝎。
