希氏栉鳞鳎为辐鳍鱼纲鲽形目鳎亚目鳎科的其中一种，为亚热带海水鱼，分布于西印度洋南非海域，栖息深度15-39公尺，体长可达8.7公分，栖息在底层水域，生活习性不明。
