奥莫河
奥莫河(Omo River)是埃塞俄比亚西南部的重要河流,整条河道在埃塞俄比亚境内,进入与肯雅接壤的图尔卡纳湖。奥莫河是内流盆地流域的主要河流。根据埃塞俄比亚中央统计局数据,奥莫河全长760公里。[1]1980年,靠近图尔卡纳湖地区的谷地列入联合国教科文组织世界遗产,登录名称为奥莫低谷。
2006年的大雨使奥莫河下游泛滥,淹死最少456人,过度放牧和森林开伐被指是酿成惨剧的元凶。
