佐治亚省
佐治亚省（英语：）[1]，又称佐治亚殖民地，是英属美洲南方殖民地之一，此殖民地是大不列颠王国创建的十三殖民地最后一个，后来成为美国一部分。在起初的批地中，该省有一条狭窄的地带延长至太平洋[2]。

1732年4月21日，殖民地的企业特许状[3]由乔治二世向詹姆斯·奥格利索普将军发出，殖民地亦以他命名。1732年6月9日特许状由英国君主枢密院敲定。
奥格利索普将军实行许多殖民主义者都不认同的非常严格的法律，例如禁止酒类饮品[4]。他不同意奴隶制度，并认为小农场系统比大型庄园更适合。然而，批出的土地没有如殖民地主义期望的大。
另一个创建殖民地的原因是作为缓冲国和「屯驻地省」，以保护英国南方殖民地，防止西属佛罗里达的威胁。奥格利索普希望由粗壮的农夫负责守护省份边境，故此殖民特许状禁止奴隶制度[1]。奴隶制度的禁令在1751年解除，而殖民地在翌年成为直辖殖民地[5]。
