Windows Live Call

Windows Live Call是微软Windows Live服务的一部分。它被集成到Windows Live Messenger之中，允许用户进行「电脑对电脑」和「电脑对电话」间的语音和视频通话。而微软通过和世界各国的电话业者合作，让用户可以借由电脑设备、麦克风、喇叭以及高速网络便能和世界各地的一般市话进行通话。

Windows Live Call提供了三种方式的通话：

• 语音通话 - 和Windows Live Messenger联系人间免费电脑对电脑的语音通话。
• 视频通话 - 和Windows Live Messenger联系人间免费电脑对电脑的视频通话。
• 电话通话 - 和世界各地的市话及移动电话进行语音通话。（付费支持）

而和电话通话的服务是利用Windows Live Messenger以及VoIP的技术，让用户可以通过电脑，以较低的通话费进行国内和国际通话。[1]

微软同时也贩售Windows Live Messenger Phone，这是Windows Live Messenger的附属产品之一，他让电脑用户用类似一般电话的方式和其他人进行通话。微软网站上关于windows live call的最新说明：‘Microsoft’s next release of Windows Live Messenger slated for later this year will not support the Voype calling feature and users who upgrade to this version will no longer have access to the Voype calling service. Therefore, re-charges to your account, or new account registration will no longer be active. Please consume your remaining balance by June 1st, 2010.’
