UNIX System III

UNIX系统三（英语：），由AT&T Unix Support Group（USG）研发的Unix版本之一，在1981年下半年，AT&T宣布了这个版本将会发布，1982年首次在贝尔实验室以外的地方运作。UNIX System III之下包括了四种不同的UNIX：PWB/UNIX 2.0，CB UNIX 3.0，UNIX/TS 3.0.1与UNIX/32V。UNIX System III支持DEC PDP-11及VAX电脑。

历史

在AT&T中，UNIX System III是第一个商业UNIX系统。

UNIX System III对应到AT&T公司内部的研发版本，UNIX/TS 3.0.1 与CB UNIX 3，因此得名。在其研发手册上，称其为UNIX Release 3.0。但是并没有称为UNIX System I或UNIX System II的Unix版本。UNIX/TS 4.0没有对外公开，因此UNIX System IV这个版本也不存在。其后续版本为UNIX System V，对应到内部研发版本UNIX/TS 5.0。
