KV62
KV62是古埃及法老图坦卡蒙位于帝王谷的坟墓，因其中发现巨大数量的财宝而闻名于世。KV62于1922年被哈瓦德·卡特发现，而新王国时代修墓工人的小屋位于墓的上方，这是其免遭那个时代肆意猖獗的盗墓贼光顾的原因。「KV」是英语中「帝王谷」（Valley of the Kings）的缩写，「62」则是现代考古学家为了区别各个墓室而给予的编号。

KV62号墓内密密麻麻地塞满了各种财宝并处于杂乱无章的状态之下。皇冠被触碰后就碎裂了，但卡特幸运地拍下了它的原状。卡特仔细地记录下墓室的原貌，并在接下来的十年里将墓室几乎搬空，将出土文物送往开罗国家博物馆。
过去一直认为KV62是帝王谷中唯一未被盗过的坟墓，但事实上图坦卡蒙墓在发现之前至少被光顾过两次。葬有法老木乃伊的墓室，其最外边的门被向左打开并被揭去封印，学者估计墓室内将近有60%的珍宝已经被盗走。只是陪葬品数量太多才无法全部运走，这也可以说明为何KV62刚出土时墓内各种财宝会是杂乱无章、随意放置的状态，在其中一次被盗之后不久，KV62中的一些防腐香料被放入KV54号墓中。
