龟壳花

龟壳花，又名原矛头蝮（学名：），为蝰科原矛头蝮属的爬行动物，俗名烙铁头、笋壳班、老鼠蛇和恶乌子等，是台湾六大毒蛇之一。

龟壳花常与无毒的拟龟壳花混淆，不过拟龟壳花的头部较圆。

名称

因龟壳花背部通常为黄褐色或棕褐色，上有不规则的黑色斑块，斑块形状似龟壳花纹，故名龟壳花。

分布

龟壳花分布于印度、孟加拉、缅甸、冲绳、台湾以及中国大陆的浙江、安徽、福建、江西、湖南、广东、广西、海南、四川、重庆、贵州、云南、陕西、甘肃等地。

习性

龟壳花常栖息于丘陵及山区、栖于竹林、灌丛、溪边、茶山、耕地以及常到住宅周围如草丛、垃圾堆、柴草石缝和落叶堆里。其生存的海拔范围为82至2200米。该物种的模式产地在印度阿萨姆。平时与人接触时通常会选择离开，除非被侵扰否则不会马上对人发动攻击，雌蛇有护卵行为，在护卵期间若遭干扰则会主动采取攻击。[2]
