黑眼豆

黑眼豆[2]是豇豆的一个亚种，可以食用。黑眼豆在世界各地都有种植。加利福尼亚黑眼是常见的商业化黑眼豆品种，此商业化品种分布于美国南部[3][4]。

历史

黑眼豆起源于西非，而且自史前时代就在中国和印度种植。[5]自17世纪以来，被贩卖至[6]弗吉尼亚的黑人奴隶在当地种植黑眼豆[7][8][9]。乔治·华盛顿·卡弗也在美国推广种植黑眼豆，因为这种植物可以为土壤增加氮素。[10][11]
