鹰属

鹰属（学名：）是鹰科之下的一属，本属的鸟类皆为生活于森林的小至中型猛禽，现一共有50种物种，在俗称猛禽的生物分类下是物种数量最多的一个属。[1][2]有些生活在密林中，有些则是在疏林中，而雌鸟明显大于雄鸟。[2]

分类学

本属由法国动物学家马蒂兰·雅克·布里松在1760年以雀鹰为模式种从隼属中独立而出。[3][4]其学名为拉丁语组成，该词来自于accipere，原意是「理解」，但后来变为「抓取」之意。[5]:30在中世纪拉丁语中，已被用来指数种鹰科的物种。[5]:30

自2008年起，陆续有相关研究证明该属的系统分类中有数个隼属物种，并与其形成并系群，在近期可能会需要再拆分。[1][6][7]
