莲属

莲属（学名：）是山龙眼目莲科的一属，也是莲科唯一一个现存属，有两个种，分别是亚洲的荷花（N. nucifera）和美洲的黄莲花（N. lutea），水生，花大而美丽。曾被划入睡莲科[1]。

睡莲和荷花外型相似，主要的区别是在叶子的生长位置和叶子的形状。

睡莲 - 叶子贴在水面，叶有深裂缝。
