分类学
该属由瑞典自然学家古斯塔夫·约翰·比尔伯格于1828年所创建。[3]其模式种由美国生物学家维特默·史东于1907年指定为小苇𫛚。[1][4]其属名来自希腊语，由意义为「芦苇状植物」的及意义为「在...之下」的组成；但此两词当时被比尔伯格误会为「槲寄生」及「咬牙切齿」之意。[5]
