艾利澤·本-耶胡達
艾利澤·本-耶胡達（希伯來語：，羅馬化：Eliezer Ben-Yehuda，发音：[ɛli'ʕɛzeʁ bɛn jɛhu'da]，1858年1月7日—1922年12月16日），生於俄羅斯帝國，辭書學家及新聞編輯人員。身為猶太人，他是推動復興希伯來語為日常用語的靈魂性人物，希伯來語作為口語在猶太人中成功的復活主要得自他的巨大貢獻。[1]

艾利澤·本-耶胡達曾說：「只要是我們能回到自己的故土，建立自己的國家，希伯來語就得復活。」他的兒子：本-錫安·本-耶胡達（Ben-Zion Ben-Yehuda，這個名字的含義為以色列之子)，是第一位以現代希伯來語為母語的猶太人。[2]
