盖笠螺属

盖笠螺属（学名：）是一個海洋笠螺腹足綱軟體動物的屬。本屬原是原始腹足目笠螺科的成員，今屬笠形腹足類蓮花青螺總科花笠螺科[1][2][3]。

分佈

本屬物種分佈於溫帶及熱帶的印度太平洋區的海洋，遠至中太平洋的夏威夷及南太平洋的 澳大利亞及紐西蘭均見本屬物種的踪影。在西太平洋到印度洋的海岸，本屬物種見於：日本、韩国[4]、台湾[4][5]、紅海、毛里求斯、馬達加斯加、南非及一些亞南極的群島。 One species, Cellana radiata, is cosmopolitan[6]

棲息地

這些海螺常栖息在潮间带[4][5]岩礁[4]，以岩礁上的大型綠藻為食。有些物種的壽命可長達七年，但一般只有約兩三年壽命。繁殖時牠們會廣泛散播牠們大量的卵子，數量從C. flava及C. denticulata的20,000個到C. ornata的230,000個[6]。
