鼠标蛇[注 1]（学名：）又称华鼠蛇、水南蛇、水律蛇、山鹿蛇、山路蛇、菜蛇、、华锦蛇，是游蛇科鼠蛇属的一种无毒蛇。

特征

鼠标蛇长达2米多；背面黄褐色，后部有不规则黑色的横斑；头部为黑褐色，黑色唇鳞缝；黄白色腹面，腹鳞后缘两侧为黑色。

广泛生活于平原和山地、在中国主要分布于华南（包括澳门[2]、香港[3][4]）、西南各省，台湾和越南、泰国等地也有分布，是一种比较大型的蛇类。鼠标蛇嗜吃鼠类，在广东农村有人人工放养以驱灭农田害鼠，除了鼠类，鼠标蛇亦会捕食其他蛇类作为食物。

鼠标蛇虽然食物范围较广，但均是肉食性的，而且根本不吃死去的动物尸体，仅仅只吃自己捕杀的猎物。

鼠标蛇擅长游泳，往往可在河流或湖泊里发现牠们。牠们也会捕食鱼类，但鼠类还是牠们最爱的猎物。

温度是对鼠标蛇的生理起重要作用的外界因素之一。在过低的环境温度下，鼠标蛇处于冬眠状态，此时，鼠标蛇不能捕食任何动物，温度升高，鼠标蛇开始有捕食活动，但捕食量与温度却没有相关关系。
