披毛目

披毛目（学名：）是胎盘类哺乳动物下的一个目，现有物种仅分布于美洲，包括了食蚁兽、树懒及已灭绝的地懒。在异关节总目（或贫齿总目）未被提升为总目前而常称作「贫齿目」的时候，披毛目也常称作「披毛亚目」。

此目的起源可追溯至古近纪（约5600万年前，仅在中生代稍后的一段时间）。原生于南美洲，后因南北美洲生物大迁徙而在北美洲也有分布。 一直以来，披毛目及有甲目等都被分类在「贫齿目」下，但近年普遍已将贫齿目提升为总目（即异关节总目），而将早前的两个亚目提升到目的层次。这是因为贫齿目过去是将没有牙齿的哺乳动物放在一起，但实际上这些成员却是一个多系群。
