巴蛇

巴蛇是中国古时相传能吞食大象的蛇，经过三年，象的骨头才被吐出。记载于《山海经·海内南经》。后世将这种以小吞大的情形，用来比喻人心的贪婪无度。可见于《喻世明言》．卷二．陈御史巧勘金钗钿：「梁尚宾看这场交易，尽有便宜，欢喜无限。 正是：贪痴无底蛇吞象，祸福难明螳捕蝉。」
