安妮·佩里

安妮·佩里（英語：），本名茱麗葉·馬里昂·休姆（Juliet Marion Hulme；1938年10月28日—2023年4月10日）是一名英國女作家，最著名的作品是以湯馬斯·皮特和督察威廉·蒙克為主角的系列歷史推理小說。

經歷

童年

休姆出生於倫敦，她的父親是一位名叫亨利·雷恩斯福德·赫爾姆的物理學家。曾擔任利物浦大学教授、格林尼治皇家天文台副台長、海軍作戰分析員和空軍科學顧問。並擔任重要職務官僚等職位。由於在年幼時被診斷出患有肺結核，所以休姆自小被送到加勒比海、南非和紐西蘭等地休養，希望在更溫暖的氣候下能改善他的健康狀況。[1]在奧克蘭，一家報社發現了他於1948年抵達紐西蘭的照片，這張照片後來被介紹在奧克蘭圖書館員工的博客《Heritage et AL》中。[2]

1954年6月，年僅15歲的休姆和她最好的朋友寶琳·帕克（Pauline Parker）謀殺了帕克的母親霍諾拉·里珀（Honorah Rieper）[4][5]。當時佩里的父母正在分居程序中，他原本打算前往南非與親戚一起居住。這兩位朋友在共處許久後，都渴望著創造，沉迷於幻想、並共同創造了一個複雜的幻想世界，其中包含幻想與許多名人相處，例如馬利奧·蘭沙和詹姆士·梅遜等人。當得知佩里父母的狀況後，她們兩人不願意被分開。[6][1][7]

1954年6月22日，兩名少女和里珀在基督城的克萊斯特徹奇港山丘上的基督城維多利亞公園散步。在一條偏僻的小路上，休姆扔掉了一塊裝飾用的石頭，使里珀彎腰撿拾。而帕克使用半塊磚塊包裹著襪子向母親攻擊。兩名少女原本認為只需一擊就能殺死她，但事實上他們不斷毆打里佩爾20多次，直至她斷氣死亡。[6]雖然他們試圖將里珀的死偽裝成意外死亡，但由於情況太不自然了，警方因偽裝不佳而對兩人進行了追捕，最終兩名少女被捕並承認了罪行。

同年，帕克和休姆在基督城受審，法庭則根據記載沉迷的幻想、以及密謀殺害母親的情節的日記作為庭審控方的證據。並於8月28日被判有罪。由於根據當時的紐西蘭法律，由於他們的年紀太過於年輕，並不符合死刑的標準，因此被判定並被由女王陛下發落「無限期監禁」。休姆在少管所學習外語、編織、寫小說，帕克則積極努力考取高中文憑、職業培訓等各種資格。五年後，她們以「永遠不再見面為條件。」分別獲得假釋。[8]在休姆於2023年去世時，人們普遍認為兩人自審判以來沒有任何聯繫。[9][10]


這起事件成為1994年電影《夢幻天堂（1994年電影）》的基礎，梅兰妮·林斯基飾演少年時期的寶琳·帕克，凱特·溫斯蕾則飾演青少年時期的茱麗葉·休姆。在電影上映時，人們通常不知道「安妮·佩里」就是事件的主犯休姆；直到幾個月後才公開身份。儘管有些人認為休姆和帕克之間的關係是同性戀，但休姆在2006年曾公開聲明，儘管兩人的關係痴迷，但他們「從未是女同性戀者」。[10]

晚年生活
