印度民族起义时，英军大举进攻詹西城，英军炮轰此城，詹西城同样开炮还击，之后一段城墙被轰破，詹西王后便连夜见人修复城墙，到第二天，英军又只看到一座完整的詹西城。但英军最后攻破詹西城，詹西王后只好突围逃走。
