南蹄目
南蹄目（Meridiungulata）是南美洲有蹄类的别名，属于劳亚兽总目，其下包括焦兽目、闪兽目、异蹄目、南方有蹄目及滑距骨目。牠们可能是源自于北美洲的踝节目祖先，并在南美洲植根[1]，与奇蹄目密切相关。[2]大部份南蹄目都是独立于其他有蹄类进行演化，是趋同演化的一个例子。但是，一些古生物学家质疑南蹄目是否单系群，并指焦兽目与其他哺乳动物，如重脚目，比南美洲的有蹄类更为接近。[3]
