侧纹胡狼（学名：）为哺乳纲食肉目犬科的一种。曾在20世纪初大量死亡，原因是因为犬瘟疫大量流行。

特征

毛皮呈灰黄色，腹部颜色浅，尾巴末端白色，体侧具有黑白条纹。全长95到120公分。

分布

分布于东非和南非的疏林草原和城市郊区。

习性

食物比其他胡狼更广，包含蛋、腐肉，以及植物等等。会在城市及农场附近觅食老鼠或鸟类等，甚至是垃圾。
